Dear MVP Parents, Guardians and Proteges,

Welcome to MVP! We are so excited to start this season off on a positive note, see some familiar faces (and new ones), and get off to a great start.

This letter has important information and tips about your MVP program. It will lay out the rules and help you get the most out of your session. We ask that you contact our office and provide us with a good mobile number and your email address, so that we can communicate with you regarding our sites and mentors during the season. MVP also has lots of new programs going on throughout the year, so keep an eye on our e-mails for Free Clinics, Giveaways, and other Mentoring Programs. For more information, feel free to contact us through any of the links above. Thank you, and have a wonderful season!

Attendance:

Your child’s attendance is important to us, but we understand things come up. We take attendance at the beginning of each session for internal reference. All parents are welcomed and encouraged to watch each session. Our coaches lead the classes, but parents are responsible for their children. Please let us know if there are any special needs during your child’s attendance, and we will do our best to accommodate your request. If you miss a session during the season, please be aware that a make-up can be scheduled at another MVP site and day. Call the office to schedule a make-up.

What to Bring (Athletic programs):

Please wear athletic gear and bring a water bottle.

Tips:

MVP’s class will cover various skills/drills each week. To get the most out of the class, our protégés should practice the skills/drills they learn at home.

Healthy energy snacks:

Good Choices: Sweet potatoes, old fashioned oatmeal, energy bars (Clif, Power Bar), beans, low-fat dairy foods, most fruits, 100 percent whole wheat or whole grain bread, oatmeal, nuts, whole wheat pasta, green peas, hummus and rice bran.

Foods to Avoid: Steer clear of sugared soft drinks, processed grains (white bread), french fries, pastries, scones, sugared cereals, syrup, whipped cream, chips and movie popcorn

Urgent Contacts:

In case of an urgent issue please call 305-749-6090. For medical emergencies dial 9-1-1.
